Vision

Men of Purpose was born from a simple conversation that revealed a much bigger need.

In 2023, during the birthday celebration of Olu’s son, Olu and Akin found themselves discussing an issue they had both observed within the African community. They noticed that while many African men were hardworking, talented, and deeply committed to providing for their families, they often pursued success in isolation. Only a few were intentionally coming together to grow spiritually, strengthen one another financially, or build a culture of collaboration capable of creating lasting generational wealth. Instead of operating as a united community, many were operating in silos, with limited accountability, mentorship, and mutual support.

That conversation sparked a question: What would happen if men intentionally came together to help one another become better husbands, fathers, leaders, entrepreneurs, and disciples of Christ? They envisioned a community where wisdom was shared freely, opportunities were created collectively, and every man’s success became a pathway for lifting others.

From that vision, Men of Purpose was established. Its mission is to develop men who are grounded in faith, committed to personal growth, financially responsible, and dedicated to building a legacy that extends beyond their own lifetime. The organization encourages men to lead with integrity, strengthen their families, invest in their communities, and embrace a mindset of stewardship and generational impact.
